HYDERABAD: The threat of heavy rain in north coastal Andhra and north Telangana districts has not subsided yet as influence of the depression continues over these areas even after it crossed the coast. The depression crossed north Orissa coast late on Wednesday night and lay centred near Chandbali on Thursday morning with its influence extending up to Andhra Pradesh. As a result, heavy rain is likely over the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, east and west Godavari, Khammam, Karimnagar and Adilabad on Friday. Venkatapuram in Khammam district recorded a rainfall of 10 cm while Eturunagaram 6 cm rainfall. The Godavari reached the 46-ft mark at Bhadrachalam by Thursday evening and is likely to go up 48 ft on Friday before falling.
