Farm package inadequate, says Achuthanandan

KOCHI: Chief Minister V.S.Achuthanandan has said the farm package announced by the Union Government is inadequate for farmers in Kerala. The matter will be discussed by the State Cabinet and an appropriate response conveyed to the Centre, he told presspersons here on Saturday.

Mr. Achuthanandan arrived here in connection with the release of the Kerala edition of People's Democracy, the weekly organ of CPI(M). The party's Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury inaugurated the edition. With this, the publication will have six editions. It is already being published from New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Agartala.
