Celebration time for the `car man'

HYDERABAD: K. Sudhakar, known for his cars that come in various shapes and sizes, has come out with two more unusual models This time, one is in the shape of a personal computer while the other one looks like a double bed.

Unveiled by Country Club chairman and managing director Y. Rajeev Reddy here on Saturday, it was celebration time for Mr. Sudhakar, as the Guinness Book of World Records recognised his largest tricycle that he had unveiled in July 2005.

The Computer Car, complete with a CPU, a monitor that has to be lifted to let the driver in and a keyboard, is little more than five feet and is fitted with a 100 cc engine. It can run at a maximum speed of 45kmph on its five wheels. The Bed Car, also a five-wheeler, is made from wood and metal and has a 60 cc engine with a maximum speed of 40kmph. The driver can relax on the bed while driving and the gear and steering are situated under the two pillows.

Mr. Sudhakar, who keeps his collection of cars at the Sudha Car Museum in Bahadurpura, has earlier come out with vehicles in the shape of a cricket ball, a football, a camera, a shoe and a brinjal among others.
