Rajiv Gandhi boat race

ALAPPUZHA: The Rajiv Gandhi Trophy Boat Race-2006 will be held at the Pulinkunnu river, Pulinkunnu, on September 30.

Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the permanent pavilion at Pulinkunnu, where the race is being held, on the day, said Alex Mathew, president of the Rajiv Gandhi Boat Race Committee.

The pavilion was built with the fund provided by the Tourism Department.
