Fair on smart fabrics in S. Korea

CHENNAI: `Preview in Daegu 2007' (PID 2007), an international textile fair that will focus on synthetics and smart fabrics (fabrics which have special qualities, such as lightness, breathability and waterproofing) will be held from March 14 to 16, 2007, at the Daegu Exhibition and Convention Center in Daegu, South Korea.

Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, Tae Jin Kim, General Manager, Promotion Team, PID 2007, said South Korea was looking for "competitive resources" from India. PID 2007 will facilitate an international forum at which global textile manufacturers and brands can present functional fabrics, share information and complete business contracts, Mr. Kim said.
