Netherlands drug firm opens facility

TOANSA (PUNJAB): Netherlands-based pharma ingredients manufacturer DSM on Wednesday opened its first Purimox manufacturing facility in India with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes annually. The company would manufacture a penicillin-based antibiotic Purimox in the facility. The plant would primarily cater to the Asia-Pacific, West Asia and African markets, DSM's anti-infectives Vice-President N. V. Ramanan told reporters here.
