CHENNAI: Two persons belonging to the Congress have preferred separate complaints with the Mambalam police praying for action against MDMK general secretary Vaiko for his reported speeches in support of the LTTE at a public meeting. In his complaint, Ravikumar of Thiruvanmiyur, who was former Congress South Chennai district secretary, said Vaiko's address appeared to be a threat to unity and security of the nation. Similarly, K. Pal from Singaperumalkoil in Kancheepuram district also a Congress functionary filed a complaint that such "inflammatory speeches by politicians might result in assassination of political leaders." A senior police officer said that "we have received the complaint, but no case has been registered."
