CHENNAI: Zak Trade Fairs and Exhibitions will tie up with German giant Messe Dusseldorf to organise exhibitions and trade fairs across the world.

Chairman and managing director Syed Zakir Ahmed told mediapersons on Thursday that he would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with representatives of the German firm on August 26 in the presence of Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dayanidhi Maran.

He said the signing of MoU would be part of its bicentennial celebrations.

On Thursday, actor Suhasini Maniratnam inaugurated the 198th exhibition organised by Zak at Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam. More than 100 companies have set up 150 stalls at the four-day `Best in India' exhibition.

The products range from costume jewellery to cars.

Mr. Ahmed said two more exhibitions — South India Property Fair and International Exhibition on Building Materials and Construction Technology — would be inaugurated on Friday and Saturday.

While the consumer expo features all that a home needs — from plastic flower arrangements to plush sofa sets — the other exhibitions would help people in selecting property or even buy homes, added Mr. Ahmed.

The entry fee is Rs. 40 for all three exhibitions that will be on till August 27 from 10 a.m to 8 p.m.
