CHENNAI: Actor Suriya inaugurated "Reverberations," the inter-school cultural festival organised by Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Schools, at Rama Rao Kalyana Mantap here on Thursday. More than 16 schools are expected to participate in the cultural extravaganza that concludes on Friday. Y.G. Parthasarathy, dean and director, PSBB Schools, urged students to emulate Suriya's example of hard work and inner strength.
Inner strength
It was his inner strength that made his eyes so powerful and attractive even in roles where he played a deformed character, she said. His continued affection for his alma mater PSBB, where he studied till high school, was another of his special qualities, she added. She later swayed to music from a Suriya-starrer along with the young hero while the students cheered. Suriya encouraged the students to have fun over the next two days. He advised them not to be in a hurry to experience all of it at once. This year marks the 27th anniversary of the PSBB inter-school cultural festival. Actor Vikram and Unnikrishnan, playback singer and Carnatic vocalist, would participate in the valedictory on Friday.
