Two killed in road accidents

BANGALORE: Two persons, including a software engineer, were killed in road accidents in the city on Wednesday night.

The police said that around 8.45 p.m., a lorry rammed a motorcycle which two software engineers were riding near Devarachikkanahalli on the Outer Ring Road in Airport traffic police station limits.

While the pillion rider Rajkumar (28) died on the spot, his friend Prakash (28) of BTM Layout was injured. Rajkumar, a native of Madurai, was a resident of Church Street in Old Madivala here.

The police have seized the lorry and arrested the driver.

Pedestrian killed

In the other incident, a pedestrian was killed after a car hit him near Innovative Multiplex on Varthur Main Road around 9.30 p.m. The identity of the dead, a man aged around 35, is not known, the police said.

The Airport traffic police have seized the car and have registered a case.
