VIZIANAGARAM: Four persons who consumed spurious liquor died in Pitlametta village of Garugubilli mandal in the district here on Friday. All the four were agricultural labourers aged between 30 and 35. While returning from work outside the village, A. Mrutyunjaya Rao, P. Kasi Viswanatham, M. Ramesh and B. Krishna bought three bottles of cheap liquor on their way at Khadgavalasa junction. After reaching their village, they leisurely sat in a hut and consumed the liquor. Soon, they fainted. The Rayivalasa Primary Health Centre doctor who administered first-aid referred them to Parvathipuram hospital where they were declared brought dead. The Garugubilli police are investigating the matter.
