600 litres of spirit seized

ALAPPUZHA: A railway police team seized 600 litres of spirit at Alappuzha railway station on Friday. The spirit was sent as parcel by the Thiruvananthapuram bound Kurla Express. Railway Protection Force said the spirit arrived in 10 wooden boxes and was unloaded at Alappuzha. But nobody came to claim it, they said.

Each box contained two big cans carrying 30 litres of spirit each.
