CHENNAI: Members of the 1973 batch of St. Gabriel, Broadway, along with their family members, had an emotional reunion last week 33 years after passing out of the school. A year-long effort by Fr. Gregory, Vincent Paul, Mohan, Dominic and Rajan brought them all together. The evening was not long enough for nostalgic pleasant memories of their student life. They also honoured their teachers and the then Assistant Head Master during the evening. `Mirror Club,' an initiative by the old students, is focused not only on socialising but also promoting the cause of helping underprivileged students meet their education expenses at the school. The annual plan of the club will take the plan further. Rector/Correspondent Fr. Sunderraj and headmaster Fr. Siby Mathew said, "This is the first time in our school's history that the alumni have got together after 33 years. One can see their sense of belonging and commitment to the school and the students." St. Gabriel alumni can contact the Mirror Club coordinator Fr. Gregory at 94440 10135 for further information.
