Stray dog menace Sir, Dozens of stray dogs hound people using the road opposite The Forum mall (road to Tavarekare Main Road, near Ayyappa Swamy Temple). At night, dogs chase two-wheeler riders leading to accidents. This has made life miserable for residents of Cauvery Layout, Bhuvanappa Layout and Bhavani Layout. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike should do the needful.
J. Panackel,
Install garbage bins Sir, I just returned after a trip to my hometown Bangalore, which I have been visiting at least once a year. Every year I find the city's infrastructure deteriorating. There are no garbage bins and there is shortage of public toilets. The one toilet I found was in dismal condition. Though money was collected for its upkeep, the toilet was not maintained at all. The authorities should ensure adequate number of garbage bins on every street and public toilets in every locality.
N. Jayaram,
Bad stretch Sir, I am a resident of Yelachanahalli and regularly travel on Kanakapura Main Road. The stretch between Family Mart junction and Konanakunte Cross on this road is in a bad shape with more than 100 potholes. When it rains, the road becomes slushy, and skidding of two-wheelers is common here. Owing to the bad condition of the road, people have to spend more on vehicle maintenance. I request the authorities concerned to re-lay the stretch immediately.
R. Sundararaja Rao,
Provide railings Sir, There is a famous Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple at Devarayanadurga in Tumkur district. Many pilgrims from various parts of the State visit the ancient temple to participate in the car festival. Elderly people and women find it difficult to climb the hill without any support. I request the authorities concerned to provide pipe railings by the side of steps to help the devotees.
R. Prahlada Rao,
Leaking pipeline Sir, The drinking water pipeline at the intersection of the 5th Cross and 31st Main Road, I Phase, ITI Layout, has been leaking for the past two months. We have complained to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board at I Phase, 12th Cross, J.P. Nagar, but to no avail. Water is stagnating at the place where the pipe is leaking. Will the authorities concerned repair it at the earliest?
