Nagaraju, Rajesh slam centuries

VISAKHAPATNAM: P. Nagaraju and Ch. Rajesh Yadav hit centuries for Guntur and Visakhapatnam respectively and Central Zone's T.K. Ganesh Kumar picked up six wickets to share the first-day's honours in the ACA inter-zone U-17 cricket tournament here on Monday.

Visakhapatnam made 293 for nine thanks to Rajesh's century and fine knocks by Prince Susan and L. Sravan Kumar.

The other match saw Guntur piling up 318 against North Zone II with Nagaraju playing the pivotal role. He cracked a fine century (145) and also shared two good partnerships with Sk. Basha and P. Sivakoti. Guntur finished the day by claiming two North Zone wickets for 18 runs.

The scores: Visakhapatnam 293 for nine in 90 overs (Ch. Rajesh Yadav 100, Prince Susan 51, L. Sravan Kumar 45, T.K. Ganesh Kumar six for 104) vs. Central Zone II 26 for no loss in eight overs; Guntur 318 in 89.1 overs (P. Nagaraju 145, Sk. Basha 43, P. Sivakoti 34, P.
