NEW DELHI: Thirteen-year-old Savitri Kumari, a resident of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand who has been "weeping stones'' for about two years now, has been diagnosed with a psychological disorder and has no physical ailment. The alleged "stones" were found to be Bengal gram that the patient was putting into her eyes and ears. This was disclosed at a press conference at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Tuesday after an investigation by a five-member team of doctors. "The girl was admitted to the hospital early this month and we carried out extensive tests. We have come to the conclusion that she has no physical ailment but will continue to remain under medical care for at least a week ," said Dr. J. S. Titiyal, Professor of Ophthalmology at AIIMS.
