MUMBAI: The rupee continued to strengthen against the U.S. currency and on Wednesday closed at a near two-month high of 46.11/12 a dollar, driven higher by fairly heavy dollar sales by exporters and increased dollar supplies. The rupee derived support from dollar's weakness against the Japanese yen in overseas markets and virtually no dollar demand from oil companies in the light of easing global crude oil prices.
