HP opens new facility

CHENNAI: Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Friday launched a new facility, located at the Olympia Technology Park, Guindy, for its global delivery centre here. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi, launched the facility at the `Connect 2006' event. Addressing presspersons here, Som Mittal, President and CEO, Hewlett-Packard Global Soft and head of Application Services Organisation, said the Chennai centre would play an important role in contributing to HP India's growth strategy. The delivery centre would focus on key outsourcing engagements covering all aspects of IT and ITeS.
