HYDERABAD: Tourism Minister J. Geetha Reddy has announced a plan to develop the Ananthagiri Hills near Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district as a tourist resort but connected to Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple on the hilltop. The development would be complementary to the temple and it would not disturb the TB sanatorium existing on the hills. Global tenders would be issued shortly to construct hotels, eateries and cottages on the 230 acres of land set aside on the hills for the Tourism Department.

The Ananthagiri Hills area is where Osmansagar and Himayathsagar originate and is some 100 km from Hyderabad and hardly 10 km from Vikarabad.
