GANDHINAGAR: A red alert has been declared in Gujarat in the wake of the Malegaon blasts. Additional Director General of Police M.K. Tandon said the district authorities had been told to strengthen the security measures, with particular attention to places of worship and religious congregations. Surat Police Commissioner Sudhir Sinha said the blasts were a warning that besides metros and places of worship, interior towns and cities were also vulnerable to terror attacks.
