`Tech tour' to cover Bangalore

    Bangalore: The European Tech Tour (ETT) Association has announced its first-ever "tech tour" in India from October 11 to 14, covering Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

    The ETT will be on a mission to identify and promote emerging technology companies in targeted regions.

    The ETT association, an independent, non-profitable body based in Switzerland, will get an insight into business practices here and will meet more than 20 rising star technology companies, according to a release.

    The tour will have representatives from Advent Venture Partners, Doughty Hanson, Endeavour, Logitech, Nokia Ventures, Prime Technology Ventures, SAP Ventures, Siemens Venture Capital, Société Générale Asset Management, Sofinnova, Ventech and Wellington Partners.

    Delegates will be exposed to Indian hi-tech companies including Gempact, Infosys and Mind Tree.

    The tour in India is being supported by its global media sponsor Weber Shandwick, the international public relations firm, and The Indus Entrepreneurs.

    Sven Lingjaerde, president of the ETT association and general partner with Vision Capital, said: "This tour will bring together the technology leadership of Indian and European countries by creating a strong network of global investors and strategic corporate partners."
