KOCHI: Fabmall, a retail store network of the Trinetra Super Retail Limited, will open 25 outlets in Kerala over the next six months. The food and grocery retail chain would invest Rs.100 crore over the next two years, said its chief executive officer Pranab Barua. Talking to reporters on the eve of the launching of the first store in Kochi, Mr. Barua said the group was planning to become the largest retail chain in Kerala. The group's ventures include hypermarkets, each spread over an area of more than 1 lakh sq.feet. One of the hypermarkets, to be set up in South India, will be in Kerala. `Quickshops' and `Supercentres' for shopping are also being planned. The first of the series of stores in Kerala is to be opened in Fort Kochi. More centres would be opened in Thripunithura, Kaloor, Edapally, Kadavanthra, Angamally, Aluva, Kottayam, Kolencherry, Muvattupuzha, Mavelikara, Alleppey, Thrissur and Palakkad.
