New Delhi: Several senior police officers have been transferred and promoted as Delhi Police carried out a major reshuffle which has been on the cards for quite some time. Additional Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Deependra Pathak has been shifted to General Administration (GA) to replace Kishan Kumar, who has been transferred to Goa, while DCP (Security) R.L. Meena was promoted as Additional Commissioner (PCR and communication). DCP R.P. Upadhyay has been promoted as Additional Commissioner to succeed Mr. Pathak, who was also the chief spokesperson of the Delhi Police. S. Dash, who is presently posted in Andaman and Nicobar island, will replace Mr. Meena. DCP (Central) Neeraj Thakur has been transferred to Crime and Railways, DCP (East) Madhup Tiwari to Prime Minister's security, DCP (North-west) Virender Singh to Arunachal Pradesh and DCP (PM-Security) Alok Kumar to Central district.
Additional DCP Shalini Singh (South-West), Ajay Chaudhari (East) and Manish Aggarwal (New Delhi) have been promoted to the rank of DCP. Mr. Singh will be posted as DCP (Vigilance), while Mr. Chaudhari will replace
K. Jagadeeshan, presently posted in Pondicherry, will be the new Additional DCP (East).
Additional DCP II (New Delhi) I.B. Rani has been promoted and posted as Additional DCP New Delhi. -- PTI
