Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Continuing their campaign against the proposed diversion of Krishna floodwaters from Pothireddypadu head regulator to Rayalaseema, Congress MLAs — P. Janardhan Reddy and M. Sashidhar Reddy — met AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh and made a power-point presentation on the controversial issue.

The leaders spent more than 30 minutes explaining how the proposal to divert 50,000 cusecs of water from the Krishna, through the regulator, would hit the interests of Telangana.

The MLAs, according to sources, also discussed the latest political developments in the wake of resignation of the TRS president. In the evening, Dr. Sashidhar Reddy met Mr. Singh at the airport and handed over an envelope containing experts' opinion on the Pothireddypadu issue.
