Prayers for world peace to accompany festival

Two-day annual celebrations of Lord Srinivasa to begin on Saturday

NEW DELHI: Special prayers for world peace will mark the two-day annual celebrations of Lord Srinivasa to be held at Satptagiri Temple in the Base Hospital Complex at Delhi Cantonment from this coming Saturday.

The "abhishekam" and "kalyanam" programmes at the event will coincide with the Bramotsava ceremonies being held at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

Free transport

The organisers of the event have arranged free transport from the temple to Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Ramakrishnapuram, Munirka and Vasant Kunj areas in the Capital at night during the festivities.

Name submission by Thursday

For the Sri Padmavathi Srinivasa Kalyanam, the devotees have been asked to submit their names and gotram to the pooja committee by Thursday.
