Degree admissions: The last date for closing admissions to degree courses in affiliated colleges of the university is September 30.

Felicitation: A meeting would be held at the Senate Hall at 3 p.m. on September 23 to felicitate university employees who retired from service recently and to felicitate employees' children who scored high marks in various examinations. The meeting will be presided over by the vice chancellor M.K. Ramachandran Nair.

Applications invited: Applications have been invited for the three-year BA programme in Afsal-Ul-Ulema that would be offered this year onwards by the Institute of Distance Education. The last date for submitting applications is October 15. Further information can be had on 0471-241 8019, 241 2221.

Bio-informatics: Applications for the M.Phil programme offered by the Centre for Bioinformatics can be submitted till September 30. Those who have a master's degree in a related subject and those who expect their results by November this year can also apply. The application form can be downloaded from www.cbi.keralauniversity.edu.

Workshop: The department of Commerce in association with the Cambridge University Press and the British Council is organising a one-day workshop on business communication on September 23.
