Layouts to be renamed

Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will undertake renaming of those layouts in the city, which are named after roads, sources in the BDA said. For instance, the Hosur-Sarjapur Road Layout, more commonly called HSR Layout, will be renamed "Kengal Hanumanthaiya Layout" from October 1. The other layouts, such as Old Madras-Banaswadi Road (OMBR) Layout, which are named after the well-known roads in the area would be renamed soon, sources said.

Blood donation

Government R.C. College and Rashtrothana Blood Bank will jointly organise blood donation camp in the college premises on Saturday. Health Minister R. Ashok will inaugurate the programme.

Dental check-up

P.D. Hinduja Sindhi Hospital will conduct free dental check-up camp in its premises from September 29. The check-up, extraction of mobile teeth, and temporary filling will be done free of cost. For details, call 22237117.

Skin disorders

Pornayu Ayurveda Hospital will conduct a special consultation camp on psoriasis allergy and other types of skin disorders. The camp will be conducted in its premises on Rajkumar Road. For details, call 23528787.

Kannada classes

Jnana Ravi Trust will hold free coaching classes for students appearing for Pravesha, Kaava, Jaana and Ratna examinations conducted by Kannada Sahitya Parishad to be held in December.
