CHENNAI: The Rs. 25-crore Precision Techserve Pvt. Ltd. has signalled its entry into remote infrastructure management service by setting up a global competency centre here. The company is in the business of providing network consulting services and business solutions to help companies build, secure and manage their enterprise network infrastructure. Set up at a cost of $1.5 million, the centre is spread over 14,000 sq. ft. It will service clients in India and abroad. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, P. Ramesh, Founder Director, Precision Techserve, said the centre would begin with 30-odd people and would scale up to 360-375 people over the next six months. Precision Techserve had already signed up with Shasun Chemicals for remote monitoring of its information security system. It had also penned a deal with a U.S. BPO (business process outsourcing) company, which had a large presence in India.
Host of features
Mr. Ramesh said the facility was built with a host of fault tolerance features on the technology infrastructure side to offer round-the-clock business critical support. The remote infrastructure management business of the company would focus on banking and financial institutions, mid-sized manufacturing companies retail outlets and hospitality industry. He also indicated that Precision Techserve would set up full-fledged front-end marketing operations in the U.S. and Australia by the first quarter of 2007. The company was also planning to have operations in the U.K. by the middle of next year.
