Dental check-up

Vehicle donated

Rotary Bangalore Peenya has donated a food distribution vehicle to Akshaya Patra Foundation. The vehicle costs Rs. 12.5 lakh and has been given with financial assistance from Rotary Club of Flint, Michigan, U.S., and Rotary Foundation.

The former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda attended the programme and formally handed over the keys of the vehicle to the officials of the foundation on Thursday.

BESCOM drive

Under the guidance of H.S. Venkatesh, Superintendent of Police, BESCOM (Vigilance), a mass anti-theft drive was conducted on September 18. The drive was undertaken in the limits of Indiranagar BESCOM Vigilance police station on Tannery Road, Basappa Lane, Gandhigrama and slum areas of E1 sub-division.

Seminar held

South Western Railway, Bangalore Division, conducted a Vigilance awareness seminar recently. Chief Vigilance Officer and Senior Deputy General Manager K.J.S. Naidu and Divisional Railway Manager Mahesh Mangal were among the speakers. Mr. Naidu said railway staff members should take care not to waste public funds.
