Medical camp held

ADILABAD: A medical camp for detection of heart diseases among children up to 12 years of age was organised at the Government headquarters hospital, Adilabad by the Medical and Health Department and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Sixty-five children were screened for heart diseases by specialists, including the team that had come from Warangal. Zilla Parishad Chairman Rathod Ramesh, who was the chief guest, said that there was need for such medical camps in the district to improve health services.

C. Ramchander Reddy, Adilabad MLA, said that the proposal for CT scan equipment at the hospital would be looked into. Chairpersons of Adilabad Municipality Digambar Patil and market committee Y. Narsing Rao, District Medical and Health Officer S. Vignanachary, District Coordinator of Hospital Services Radha Nair, Superintendent of Hospital Ch. Suresh Chandra and IMA district president M. Dattu participated.
