Venkatesh clinches title

Mysore: S. Venkatesh of Mysore defeated R. Manjunath (Mysore) and clinched the Men's Kata Colour Belts (above 21 years) title in the Dasara 2006 State-level karate championships conducted at the Chamundivihar Indoor stadium here on Sunday.

The results:

Men: Colour Belts Kata: (above 21 years): 1. S. Venkatesh; 2. R. Manjunath; 3.Vijay S. Hosamani and K.S. Kumar.

Black Belt Kata (18-21): 1. Aditya Patil; 2. S. Harsha; 3. S. Gugan and Sunil B. Laikoda.

Boys: U-18: Team Kata: 1. S. Sagar, Navnik Shivadas & A. Abhishek; 2. Yashas Kishan, Vaishal Chandra Has and Abhilash; 3. C.R. Prajwal, M.S. Suraj Rajan and Preet R. Patel.
