Classic bags title

Thiruvananthapuram: Classic CC lifted the Thiruvananthapuram district senior women's cricket title with an effortless 59-run win over Mar Ivanios CC in the final at the All Saints College ground here on Sunday.

All-rounder S. Asha once again did the star turn for Classic. Asha was the top scorer with 63 in her team's score of 149 in 29.4 overs. Earlier, she also picked up three wickets to restrict Mar Ivanios to 90.

The KCA president, S.K. Nair, gave away the prizes.

The scores: Classic 149 in 29.4 overs (S. Asha 63, Angel three for 32) bt Mar Ivanios 90 in 22.4 overs (Chithra three for 12, Asha three for 19).
