Gita Jnana Yajnam at Haripad

ALAPPUZHA : An all-India Bhagawad Gita Jnana Yajnam will be held at Bhavani Mandir Auditorium, Haripad, from October 15 to 22, president of Gita Yajna Samithi S. Somanathan Nair has said.

State chief of Chinmaya Mission Swami Vivikthananda Saraswathi would inaugurate the yajnam.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Nair said Aseshananda Swami of Chinmaya Tapovanam, Palakkad, would be the acharya (high priest) of the yajnam.

The yajnam would commence with an Ashtadravya homam (oblation) on October 15 at 5 a.m.

The inaugural meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Mr. Nair will preside over. Swami Kaivalyananda will deliver the benediction address.

The yajnam will be held from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on all days. Classes on Upanishads will be held in the morning session.
