`Boss' fails to set box office on fire

If people had great expectations as they were handed over the counterfoil of the ticket at the entrance, they were shattered soon. If they had `Ninne Pelladutha' kind of hopes about `Boss', they were reduced to nought.

If a love-crazy teenager went with a svelte Nayanatara in mind or Poonam Bajwa, or even Shriya who does a cameo, his heart leapt with joy. If people looked at comedy, they laughed their guts out.

But, anyone arguing that `Boss' is a hit will find it difficult to answer how and why tickets were easily available from day two or three. As for the plot, it is yet another Hollywood-inspired `creation.' Remember the Sandra Bullock-Hugh Grant-starrer `Two Weeks Notice'?V.N. Aditya wielded the megaphone adeptly at least in the beginning.

The first 70 minutes saw people tickled with Sunil as the hero's friend, Ali as Nagarjunasagar who dreams of building a project just that big and Brahmanandam who keeps searching for his look-alike brother in a foreign country. Nayanatara as Anuradha is absolutely gorgeous in the sarees,while Saloni, sizzles in an item number in the first half.
