Campaigning for his party candidates at Avanashi on Tuesday night, Mr. Vijaykant said the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Government did not have a long-term vision for generating employment to thousands of youths in the State. If his party came to power, he assured that it would put an end to the problem of unemployment by opening industrial estates in all the districts. Mr. Vijaykant said his party would contain the menace of mosquitoes in a year if it was voted to power. The DMDK would work for improving the quality of education in government and municipal schools. Buses terminated at State borders
TNSTC buses proceeding from Dharmapuri, Palacode, Thally, Denkanikottai and Krishnagiri were halted at Jujuvadi, Andhivadi check posts and Hosur bus stand. Even private buses proceeding towards Bangalore were halted at the Karnataka border at Athipalli. TNSTC depots in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts have been instructed not to operate buses on the NH-7 and Bangalore - Sarjapur National Highway till further orders. Staff Reporter
