Sreekumar's five-wkt. haul in vain

KOCHI: Sreekumar's five-wicket haul went in vain as Secretary's XI (Tripunithura) lost to Globstar Telecom (Aluva) by 51 runs in a first-phase first-round match of the 56th Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval on Thursday.

The scores: Globstar Telecom, Aluva 192 in 43.2 overs (R.S. Anuroop 58, Sreekumar five for 30) bt Secretary's XI, Tripunithura 141 in 37.4 overs (Renjith Menon four for 20). — Principal Correspondent
