Austria opens visa application centre

BANGALORE: The Embassy of Austria has opened new Visa Application Centres in the country from Tuesday to ease the visa application process.

According to an official press release, the new centres will be located in Bangalore (080-41120941), Mumbai (022-66104111), New Delhi (011-41608609), Jalandhar (0181-5028028) and Chennai (044-28230077).

The new centres will accept visa applications of Indian residents can submit their applications between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Applicants can have their passports couriered to their specified address after processing or collect it from the Application Centres.

The Embassy of Austria has commissioned VFS (India) Private Ltd. to operate the Visa Application Centers across India. VFS India Private Ltd. is an outsourcing partner to diplomatic and consular missions in countries including India, Singapore and South Africa.

Austrian Ambassador to India Jutta Stefan-Bastl spoke.
