Five arrested in murder case

BANGALORE: The Talaghattapura police have arrested five persons on charges of murdering K. Dayanand. The decomposed body of Dayanand (26), resident of Anjanapura and a car driver, was found in Turahalli forests on September 22.

The police learnt that Dayanand had an affair with a girl, who was engaged to Srinivas.

Learning about the affair, Srinivas allegedly hatched a conspiracy to murder Dayanand, the police said. Srinivas (27), along with Srinivasa Reddy (45), Raju (22), Satish Kumar (29) and Malatesh (18), all residents of Yelachenahalli on Kanakapura Road, allegedly kidnapped Dayanand on September 17.

The group allegedly murdered Dayanand by smashing his head with a big stone and a stick before throwing the body in Turahalli forests.
