Gadi Nadu Jatha reaches Bidar

`Lack of development alienating people in border areas'

Bidar: Gadi Nadu Jatha, a rally of pro-Kannada organisations to create awareness about the condition of border villages, held a public meeting in Aurad on Saturday. The rally was welcomed by a procession of camels and horses. Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president G.S. Siddhalingaiah and other leaders reached the venue on camels. Kannada campaigner and BJP MLC `Mukhyamantri' Chandru who is leading the rally, promised to convince the Government to take up more welfare schemes in border areas and provide better infrastructure.

MLC Umashree said lack of development in border areas was alienating people. Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president G.S. Siddhalingaiah asked people to develop a love for Kannada.
