This light-as-air trifle is strictly for Owen Wilson fans. The film is not very funny, cannot make up its mind if it is a romantic comedy, a buddy movie or a gay comedy.

Nevertheless, one could enjoy the trip, thanks to Owen Wilson's delightfully crooked nose, his beach bum blond looks and his Zen advice delivered in that irresistible drawl.

There is Kate Hudson in a bikini and Michael Douglas being creepily unctuous - quite like what Gordon Gekko from Wall Street would have turned into if he had become over protective dad.

The sweet life is over for Carl (Matt Dillon) and Dupree (Wilson) when Carl marries Molly (Kate Hudson). Carl works for Molly's dad, the evil builder Mr. Thompson (Douglas) who makes Carl's life miserable as no one is good enough for his darling daughter.

Then Dupree lands up at Karl's home and does awful unspeakable things like lie about naked and stink up the toilet. All comes right in the end and all the boys grow up and find their "ness."

The film is a harmless way of spending an evening.
