Navy to build paediatric ward near Wular lake

NEW DELHI: The Navy will build a paediatric ward near the Wular lake, in Jammu and Kashmir, where 20 children drowned while on an unauthorised joyride in a naval boat on May 30. The Navy will construct a 15-bed ward as an annexe to the existing District Hospital in Handwara.

Twenty children and two staff members of the Burning Candle School, Handwara, lost their lives in the lake .
