HYDERABAD: A ninth standard student Pinakapani, 14, was found dead in his house at Vidyanagar under mysterious circumstances on Friday. The Nallakunta police opined that that the boy might have died "after hanging himself from a rod fixed to a door-frame with a skipping rope". The boy's relatives have no clue regarding motive behind his death. His shocked parents, M.V. Subba Rao and Usha Rani, were not in a position to speak. "However, the boy's uncle raised suspicion of the boy trying out some experiment after watching television serials," Nallakunta Sub-Inspector Subbaiah said.
Brought dead
Pinakapani was sleeping in the house when his mother went to a local temple after locking the house from outside around noon. On return, she found her son lying on the floor with the skipping rope tied around his neck. Part of the snapped rope was seen dangling from the door-frame. She rushed him to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. "According to Pinakapani's relatives, he was doing well in studies and had no reason to kill himself," the SI said.
