Lok Satta's warning against corruption

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Lok Satta Party, the new political outfit founded by Lok Satta, has sent out a strong warning to politicians and officials indulging in corrupt practices to mend their way, lest they will have to face stringent action in the near future.

At the party's first meeting here on Sunday, Lok Satta coordinator Jayaprakash Narayan said not only would the properties of those indulging in corrupt practices be attached, but they would also end up in jails. Expressing concern that corruption had taken deep roots, he cited an instance of an irrigation project in Rayalaseema whose estimates were quoted at Rs. 220 crore while the works were sub-contracted for a meagre Rs. 67 crores.
