Cremation held

ALAPPUZHA: Four members of a family who were killed in a car accident in Sharjah on Saturday were cremated at the Chathanad cemetery here on Wednesday afternoon. Those killed in the accident were Sasidharan Nair, of Sree Bhavan house, Chathanad, his wife, Jayashree, and their sons, Vighneswaran, 8, and Vivek, 3. The bodies arrived at the Nedumbassery airport by 6 a.m. and were brought to Alappuzha. The cremation took place at noon. K.C. Venugopal, MLA, and District Collector K.R. Viswambharan paid their respects.
