Bangalore: The long commuting time is cutting down the productivity of employees, says Azim Premji, Chairman, Wipro Ltd.
Bottlenecks
Mr. Premji told presspersons here on Wednesday that fixing infrastructure bottlenecks should be the priority of policy makers. He said that the State Government should consider giving land at subsidised rate to set up schools in the vicinity of software companies. Once schools come up in good numbers in these areas, it would give a push to housing in these localities encouraging employees of companies in the region to live there, thus avoiding commuting time significantly, he said.
