BANGALORE: A day after senior counsel and former chairperson of the Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) Pramila Nesargi filed a petition challenging the council resolution asking advocates to boycott functions in which the Chief Justice of Karnataka participated, another petition was filed here on Thursday. A.V. Amarnathan, an advocate, filed a petition in the High Court challenging the decision of the KSBC to pass such a resolution. He said in the light of the Supreme Court judgement in the Justice Bannerjee case, the association could not have passed such a resolution and it would amount to contempt.
