Ramzan date

The Central Moon Committee Karnataka will be meeting on October 23 to decide the sighting of new moon. The sighting of the new moon will decide whether Ramzan Idd festival is to be celebrated on October 24 or 25.

The meeting will be held in the office of the Karnataka State Board of Wakfs. Moulana Khadeer Ahmed Adaul Aamri, Convenor of the Committee, will conduct the proceedings. Readers can contact Ph: 22264594, 22264595.

Film festival

The Ministry of Information and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will jointly organise a film festival on Indian Classical Music and Dance in the Bhavan's premises on Race Course Road on October 28. As many as 20 documentary films on music and dance will be presented in two sessions over a duration of eight hours. The festival will be inaugurated by eminent musician R.K. Srikantan.

Yoga classes

R.S.V.C. Foundation will conduct yoga classes for losing weight from October 23. IT professionals and people leading sedentary lifestyle can attend the classes. The classes will be conducted in Imperial Court on Cunningham Road. For details, call 9845793490.
