Construction worker's body found

BANGALORE: A construction worker was murdered allegedly by other workers and his body dumped near the construction site in HAL police station limits. While the murder took place on Friday, the body was found on Sunday.

The police gave the name of the victim as Marwadi of Jharkhand.

According to the police, the accused Arun and his associates allegedly strangled Marwadi as he had allegedly harassed Arun's elder sister. The accused as well as the victim were working under a sub contractor, Robin Singh, who was also from Jharkhand, as bar benders. They were employed at a construction site of an apartment complex near Bellandur and were staying in the labour colony, the police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Soumendu Mukherjee and other senior officials visited the spot.
