Renewal of life certificates

Life certificates for the year 2006-07 for Bangalore Mahanagara Palike pensioners will be renewed from November 1 to 30 at the banks where the pension is being drawn.

If life certificates are not renewed in the month of November, pension would be stopped from December, said a press release.

In case of death of the pensioners, the banks concerned and the pension section of the BMP must be informed.

Appointed director of Indian Bank

The Union Government has appointed a city-based Chartered Accountant Gundmi Sudhakar Rao as director of Indian Bank. Mr. Rao, who is practising in Bangalore, is a Doctor of Finance from California, U.S., according to a press release here.

Lecture

MILT Training Foundation will organise `Power Talk,' a lecture by motivational speaker Aporesh Acharya on `Growing Young' and `Dying with Dignity' at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan at 6.30 p.m. on October 26 and 27.
