CHENNAI: The Narcotics Intelligence Bureau (NIB) CID of the Tamil Nadu Police seized 4.3 kg of heroin in Nagapattinam district on Tuesday. Inspector-General of Police, Crime (Special Investigation Team), R. Sekar, said the contraband was seized from Kottaivasalpadi Bridge within Nagapattinam town police station limits. Sivakumar (45) of Perumkulam in Ramanathapuram district, Munis alias Muneswaran (45) and Johnpaul (24), both from Nagapattinam, were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The accused had confessed that the contraband was purchased in Bangalore and was meant for Sri Lanka.
